Recent analysis of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data in the United States has indicated that BMI is not a complete indicator reflecting metabolic health and may underestimate obesity (this study was presented at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Endocrine Society in Chicago from June 15–18, 2023).
